Spartan Hall of Fame to Induct Coach Lloyd Danzeisen

Coach Danzeisen has amassed 53 years of coaching. 24 of these years were here coaching Spartan football and softball. Coach Danzeisen’s philosophy was not to teach the game, whether football or softball, but to teach athletes the game of life. Football or softball were the vehicle he used to teach students how to be good young adults in society.
While teaching the game of life, additional areas of Spartan pride include:
- Football:
- leading teams to break 135+ school records,
- winning seven division titles
- playing in five state championships and winning one state title
- named coach of the year four times
- Softball:
- earning five division championships
- winning two state championships, one regional championship and three runners-up
- named coach of the year three times
Inducting Coach Lloyd Danzeisen into the Spartan Hall of Fame is a way to honor how he has left and continues to leave a lasting legacy in the world of athletics. This is his second induction into an athletic Hall of Fame, the first was a football player for the University of Minnesota, Morris.
For those so inclined, donations to the Coach Danzeisen Football Endowment through Fergus Area College Foundation are a welcomed tribute to honor Lloyd. This endowment was established in the 1990’s and continues to support Spartan Football. For information on how to make a donation, please visit our Gifts and Donations page.
